PSYCHOMETRIC TESTING AND ASSESSMENT CENTRES
We assist organisations to select and develop the right talent in the right environment. We

of assessment tools to achieve this objective.
Our psychometric tests are specially designed and validated assessment exercises which assist in
matching the job applicant with the job requirements. These tests are only done by registered
Psychologist registered in terms of Health Professions Act (27:19) with current practising
certificates.They are also used for human resources and career development, including
vocational counselling for employees.
We offer psychometric testing in the following categories:
a) Cognitive Ability / Intelligence / Aptitude Assessment
These tests assist in assessing general intelligence and specific occupational aptitudes. We have
several tests in our test bank and the choice of a test or a group tests depends of the job or
position for which the candidate is being assessed for. With this knowledge, one can predict
the candidate’s potential and future job performance.
b) Emotional Intelligence
The ability to perceive emotional states in self and others, and utilising emotional knowledge
for decision-making has become a critical success factor in managing and leading teams and
individuals for maximum performance. We use emotional intelligence assessment tools to
measure the ability to perceive emotions in self and others, the ability to manage own and
others’ emotions and the ability to use all this emotional information to make decisions about
situation.
c) Assessment Centres
Assessment Centres are job simulation exercises designed for selection, coaching, leadership
development and succession planning at management and senior management levels.
Assessment centres utilise assessment methods like, but not limited to, in-tray exercises, business
presentations, leaderless group discussions, group exercises, and role-plays.
d) Occupational Interest Assessment
Mostly utilised in graduate and management trainee selection, these tests are used to assess job
applicants’ interests in the position or job applied for. This information assists both the job
applicant and the recruiting organisation to make informed decisions about the job applicant’s
career interest
e) Personality and Behavioural Assessment
We use personality and behavioural assessment tools to measure preferred job behavioural
styles. These tests are useful where behavioural competencies and traits which include, but not
limited to extraversion, judgement, tough-mindedness, conflict management, teamwork,
execution, self-discipline, independence, dominance, leadership potential, assertiveness and
personal composure are key success factors for maximum job performance
EXECUTIVE AND MANAGEMENT COACHING
We assist managers and executives to achieve both personal and professional goals through
coaching. Executive and management coaching assists to:

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT INTERVENTIONS
We assist organisations to improve their performance by helping them implement performance
management and measurement system at all levels within the organisation. As TM Industrial
Psychological Services we believe there is no one-size-fits- all or off-the-shelf Performance
Management system.
It is our considered view that they are at least three different models of
performance management namely; performance management as a system for managing
organisational performance; performance as a system for managing employee performance and
ultimately performance management as a system for integrating the management of
organisational and employee performance.
OCCUPATIONAL STRESS SCREENING AND INTERVENTIONS
Stress is a universal issue in public health, it can be caused by variety of reasons, however as
industrial psychologists we believe no-matter what causes it, and stress has adverse impact to
workplace productivity.
Our focus on this issue mainly is guided by the relationship between
the demands of the job environment, co-worker support, supervisor-subordinate relationships
and the cognitive and other resources of individual employees in coping with such. We offer
stress screening, monitoring and interventions specifically dealing with the work-place induced
stress to achieve employee well-being and productivity at workplace.
Stress management program may also be useful during retrenchments and layoffs to both the
employees and managers involved in the processes.
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT INTERVENTIONS
Organizations spend close of 1% of annual turnover in learning and development initiatives
but rarely invest in understanding the science behind how to succeed in learning and
development programs. We assist your HR department to carry out scientific learning needs
analysis
– (using performance appraisals, psychometric tests, and work samples),
- unpacking motivation to learn (there exist a positive causal relational between motivation to learning and
positive participation and application of new knowledge),

CONFLICT RESOLUTION & TEAM BUILDINGS
Conflict exists in any situation where facts, desires or fears pull or push participants against each
other or in divergent directions. It can also happen at departmental, section and business unit
level. We believe the correct diagnoses of the sources of conflict, conflict handling styles and
personality of the employees involved in conflict may act as correct source of resolving the dip
seated issues and channel individual employees energies in the productive operations. We also
offer independent one-one counselling to management and executive to help them cope with
conflict-infested workplaces.
