Position Overview
In alignment with its strategic drive to enhance value addition and increase foreign currency generation, the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for this senior executive position.
MMCZ has engaged TM Industrial Psychological Services to manage the search and selection process for a versatile, seasoned, and results-oriented executive with a proven track record of leadership in a dynamic environment.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for creating an enabling external environment for organisational growth, responding to customer, producer, and stakeholder needs, and developing and implementing effective mineral marketing and resource accounting strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft strategies that enhance the organisation’s contribution to the fiscus and economic development in the mining sector.
- Ensure the organisation taps into appropriate market segments.
- Direct communication strategies to maintain strong stakeholder relationships and promote investment.
- Develop and implement global marketing and mineral resource accounting strategies.
- Conduct marketing research and trend analysis.
- Monitor and evaluate organisational projects.
- Oversee implementation of the marketing budget.
- Apply performance management tools and monitor achievement of results.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Superior.
Qualifications & Experience
- Marketing or relevant commercial degree.
- MBA/MBL/MSc Strategic Management or equivalent Master’s degree is required.
- Relevant professional qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years’ marketing and mining-related experience, including at least 5 years at senior management level.
- Exposure to international markets is a strong advantage.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Understanding of Integrated Results-Based Management (IRBM).
- Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence is mandatory.
