HR & Administration Officer (Agribusiness)

Position Summary
Our client in the agribusiness sector is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR & Administration Officer to support its operations. This is a hands-on role requiring strong HR Administration capabilities, solid employee relations experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective HR administration, compliance with labour legislation, and smooth day-to-day administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HR administration across the full employee lifecycle.
- Provide industrial and employee relations support, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to the organisation’s policies, industry collective bargaining agreements and labour law.
- Support the implementation and administration of the Performance Management System to improve productivity.
- Provide recruitment support and workforce administration.
- Deliver general office and administrative support.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
Person Specification
- Degree in Human Resources Management or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ HR experience in an agricultural or similar labour-intensive environment.
- Proven experience in HR and Administration.
- Strong payroll knowledge with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Hands-on payroll experience (e.g. Belina, Paywell, or similar payroll systems).
- Demonstrated strength in industrial and employee relations.
- Experience in agribusiness, agriculture, manufacturing, or similar environments (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate effectively to people from diverse backgrounds and environments.
- Strong stakeholder and community relations skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
