Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a leading national organisation for a results-oriented and strategic professional to join the executive team. The position will provide strategic leadership and direction in Human Resources, Legal, Public Relations, and related support functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and programmes that support the achievement of the organisation’s overall goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement human resource and talent management strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Establish and maintain an effective enterprise-wide performance management system.
- Act as a change agent to drive and sustain a high-performance organisational culture.
- Conduct manpower planning, skills audits, and job evaluations.
- Develop and implement attraction, recruitment, and retention policies to secure top talent.
- Manage the remuneration portfolio and ensure equitable compensation structures.
- Oversee succession planning, talent management, and staff wellness initiatives.
- Facilitate strategic workforce planning and forecasting of future skills needs.
- Ensure compliance with approved staffing policies and procedures.
- Lead corporate strategy formulation and oversee implementation.
- Champion the development of Service Level Agreements to enhance internal service delivery.
- Promote the organisation’s image through effective public relations and communications strategies.
- Design and implement integrated marketing and stakeholder engagement programmes.
- Provide sound business advice and manage the organisation’s legal and contractual affairs.
- Identify and mitigate legal, reputational, and compliance risks across the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant Human Resources Management / Social Science Degree or equivalent.
- An MBA or MBL is an added advantage.
- Membership to a recognised professional association or board.
- At least 10 years proven leadership experience, with 5 years in senior management.
- Strong knowledge of labour law, corporate law, and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage organisational change and HR legal risks.
- Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Sound understanding of marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
