Chief Executive Officer

Position Overview

A vibrant passenger transport organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic and inspirational leadership to the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for steering the Company towards becoming the leading and preferred market-driven passenger transport operator in the region through sustainable growth, operational excellence and sound corporate governance.

The Chief Executive Officer will provide overall executive leadership, drive strategic initiatives, oversee business operations, build stakeholder confidence and ensure the long-term sustainability and profitability of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction for the organisation.
• Develop organisational policies and formulate short and long-term strategic business plans.
• Report operational and financial performance to the Board of Directors and key stakeholders.
• Oversee all business operations to ensure alignment with the Company's strategy, vision and mission.
• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing executive and management team.
• Monitor industry, national and global developments to maintain the Company's competitive advantage.
• Collaborate with the Board in implementing the Company's vision, mission and strategic priorities.
• Make informed investment decisions that promote growth and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
• Review financial and operational reports and implement continuous business improvements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shareholders, regulators, government and strategic partners.
• Identify business risks and opportunities and implement appropriate strategic responses.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the passenger transport industry and market trends.
• Represent the Company in engagements with government, shareholders and the public.
• Champion organisational culture, ethics and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Evaluate the performance of executive management and ensure organisational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transport & Logistics, Engineering, Finance or another relevant discipline.
• A relevant Postgraduate Degree from a recognised institution will be an added advantage.
• At least ten (10) years' experience in a senior management position.
• Proven experience as a Chief Executive Officer or in another senior executive leadership role.
• Demonstrated track record of strategic leadership and organisational transformation.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and consensus-building ability.
• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate governance principles and modern management practices.
